The Salvation Army’s campaign is falling way short of its goal.

The Red Kettle Campaign has a goal of 130-thousand dollars but it now sits with only 90-thousand dollars being raised.

The Red Kettles represent The Salvation Army’s primary fundraiser a year-round effort  for the Panhandle, including the Emergency Shelter, the Family Thrift Store, and helping the homeless transition to housing.

S.A. officials say they realize the economy. has taken a bite out of donations. and Volunteer bell ringers are crucial to the success of the Red Kettle Campaign.
