Selling City Property

The Amarillo Local Government Corporation approved the recommendation for city council to approve a contract for a portion of downtown real estate.
The property in question is just a portion of 22-thousand square feet of retail commercial space, that’s located on South Buchanan Street.
The city plans on selling to the Llano Group for 1 point 9 million dollars.
Amarillo’s city council is expected to wegh in on the topic at the start of September and is expected to come before the Council for consideration on September 12th, and would have to be worked through agreements if approved.
Once and if approved the Llano Group could take over ownership, and under the approval, the Llano group could close on the sale by late January 2024
