Texas State Senator Kel Seliger held his 469th town hall meeting in Canyon on Friday at the City Hall building.

Seliger spoke to citizens about a number of subjects such as education and the budget. He also answered questions from the audience.

“It’s important for people in elected office to report to the folks who vote for them. It’s easier for a mayor or county judge because they are in town and I do a good bit of my work in Austin. So I do these town hall meetings so people can talk to me about the things that are important to them”, Said Seliger.

In the past week, Seliger has spoken at multiple meetings in the Texas Panhandle and will continue to speak throughout the district.
