SIRT Situation Resolved

Amarillo Police resolved a situation on Sunday morning.  

The department’s CIRT team was called to a home in the 4300 block of South Polk on a wanted/barricaded man and blocked off the street.

Negotiators tried to talk the man out of the house, after trying to make contact by phone, with no success.

They then used a drone to drop in a chemical agent and determined the suspect was not in the house.

The situation was resolved and normal traffic was returned to normal.
