Speeding and Alcohol Believed Factors In Crash Involving 3 APD Vehicles

3 Amarillo Police Vehicles were crashed into after wreck Sunday Morning.
Around 1 am Sunday, APD Officers were working a wreck in the 3400 block of South I-27 when 20-year-old Dylan Garza lost control of his Nissan 350 Z and rear-ended a Police Interceptor SUV, then struck a second Police Interceptor SUV causing it to strike a 3rd Interceptor.
Garza and another 20-year-old male passenger were taken to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
No Officers were in the vehicles and were not injured.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the APD.
