Stephanie Coggins Named New City Secretary

The City of Amarillo has announced that Stephanie Coggins has been named the new City Secretary.

“The position of city secretary was attractive because I have a passion for serving Amarillo,” Coggins said. “I think it is incredible to be able to assist in accurately recording and preserving the history of Amarillo. I feel like this is a role to which I bring a lot of institutional knowledge that will allow me to best serve the organization.”

The city secretary serves as a liaison between the city council and citizens and Stephanie says with her servants hearts it excites her to be the link between the citizens and the elected officials.

“Stephanie is extremely qualified to serve as the next city secretary,” said City Manager Jared Miller. “She brings a wide array of skills and experience in many different roles within the city. We are excited to have her in this new role.”

She will officially take over the duties on August 23.
