If you’ve filed a 2018 or 2019(current tax return), it means you’ll be getting a little sumthin’. Single people earning under $75K will get a check for $1,200, married filing jointly under $150K get $2,400, and for each qualifying child and extra $500 per kid.

The IRS will use your 2019 tax return as the basis and direct deposit info, or mailing address if there’s no bank details. If you haven’t filed yet, don’t worry (the April 15 deadline has been moved to July 15) they’ll use your previous 2018 return. Now, if you didn’t have to file in 2018, you might want to hustle and get this one sent in.

Checks will begin arriving in your bank account or mailbox sometime in the next 3 weeks. It won’t cure the virus, but maybe it’ll help make the quarantine a little more bearable.
