Texas DPS Sees Record Numbers in Child Abduction Training

Last month the Texas Department of Public Safety trained a record 10,000 people in its Interdiction for the Protection of Children program.

Officers learned how to look for children who may have been abducted or are endangered.

Since the program was launched in 2009 it has been credited for leading to the rescue of hundreds of children.

It has also lead to many arrests in stopping human trafficking, sexual assault of children, and possession of child pornography.
