Texas Representative Ronnie Jackson was briefly detained by law enforcement at the White Deer Rodeo, last weekend.
Witnesses say Jackson was handcuffed and thrown to the ground following an attempt to help a girl needing medical assistance due tp possible seizures.
A traveling nurse and relative to the girl says Jackson stepped in to help. Jackson is an E.R. Physician.
The relative goes on to say law enforcement intervened, grabbed Jackson by the shirt and down to the ground.
Once the officers realized that Jackson is a Congressman they let him up, released, and apologized to him.
The Carson County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing the incident.
