Kiner-Falefa To Replace Andrus At Shortstop

Elvis hasn’t left the building, but he has left the Rangers’ starting lineup. Gold Glove third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa will be the starting Rangers shortstop this season. Elvis Andrus, a two-time All-Star who helped Texas win four division titles, has been the everyday shortstop for 12 years. Rangers manager Chris Woodward says it was not an easy decision. He adds that Kiner-Falefa still has to prove himself in spring training.
