Texas state parks are offering free admission to the parks on November 5th.

The Texas State Parks and Wildlife Department has designated that day for the free admission.

Department officials say they want to connect with everyone and show off the parklands, and what makes them special.

The TPWD has over 80 parks under its jurisdiction and offers a wide scope of outdoor day-use activities.

They recommend reservations be made at the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.

The Parks will operate as they normally do, and capacity limits will be enforced.

All other park fees will be in effect on November 5th.
