The Weeknd Donates $1 Million To Hunger Relief In Ethiopia

The Weeknd has partnered with World Food Program USA, a UN World Food Programme affiliate, to send over a million bucks to Ethiopia.
The singer, who is of Ethiopian decent, will provide the equivalent of two million meals for their citizens.
In a statement about his efforts, he said, “My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered, and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction.”
