Congressman Mac Thornberry sat down with both large and small business owners as well entrepreneurs at the WT Enterprise Center Wednesday morning.

A major topic of discussion was how the congressman could help businesses in his district.

Thornberry added that while some in D.C. are talking recession, our local economy remains strong as we head into the final quarter of the year.

Both small and big business owners face some of the same challenges to be successful and the Congressman addressed some of the concerns.

The congressman said that high schools and area colleges are making the change in curriculum to build a well trained and educated workforce for the future.

With recent attacks in the Middle East, the safety and security of the country is never far from  Mac Thornberry’s mind.

A few key issues Thornberry will take on when he gets back to Washington is to finish fully funding the military and a new NAFTA agreement.
