The Tokyo Olympic organizing committee says the delay in the Summer Games because of the pandemic will cost them about two-point-eight-billion-dollars.
The International Olympic Committee plans to pay 650-million to help cover the postponement costs. The 2020 Summer Olympics are scheduled to take place starting July 24th.
A final decision on if fans will be allowed or how many at the venues has not been made, but organizers believe it is possible.
Tokyo organizers are planning some test events this spring to work out those final details.
