Traffic Stop In New Mexico Leads To Drug Arrest In Amarillo

A traffic stop in New Mexico leads to the arrest of 3 people in Amarillo.

The New Mexico State Police stopped a car hauler on I-40 near Albuquerque and discovered 21 packages of Methamphetamine.

During an investigation, authorities learned the drugs were being transported to an Amarillo resident.

The driver of the vehicle, Rusty Dean Camplbell, agreed to deliver the drugs to the buyer at TA Truck Stop in Amarillo where two men were seen unloading the hauler.

Police followed the two men to 133 Hyman Street, and Bennie Baca and Sergio Chris Reyes were arrested.

Campbell, Baca, and Reyes were arrested on charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams of methamphetamine.
