“Have a good life. We will see you soon.” That was President Trump’s final public remarks during his term. The President made brief remarks to his family and supporters at Joint Base Andrews before boarding Air Force One. Trump listed his accomplishments in office and joked to the crowd “we were not a regular administration.” He is heading to Florida to begin his post-presidency life.
President Trump is keeping a longtime tradition going. NBC News reports Trump left President-elect Joe Biden a letter inside the Oval Office. The contents of the letter are not known but the notes are typically hand-written and encouraging. The tradition started in 1989 when Ronald Reagan left a letter for George H.W. Bush. Trump had been coy on whether he would leave a note for Biden.
