Governor Newsom Signs Pay To Play Act

(Sacramento, CA) — California Governor Gavin Newsom is signing a law that will let college athletes get paid for product endorsements. The Fair Pay to Play Act was signed Monday and will be enacted in 2023. It makes it illegal for schools to prevent athletes from earning money from their image, name or likeness.
