Tuesday Sports Update – Rangers Come From Behind To Beat Angels

(Arlington, TX) — Isiah Kiner-Fafefa singled home Jose Trevino in the 11th as the Rangers rallied to walk off the Angels 8-7 in Arlington. Trevino also had a solo blast, while Scott Heineman drove in two runs with a fifth-inning double. Hunter Pence contributed three hits and a RBI. The Rangers were down 7-1 after two innings. Rangers Release Spring Training Schedule

(Surprise, AZ) — The Rangers will face the Brewers on February 22nd in their spring training opener at Surprise Stadium. After closing out their games in Arizona, they will play the Cardinals on March 23rd in their first game at the new Globe Life Field. They open the regular season on March 26th in Seattle.

Astros Top Tigers, Correa Hurt

(Houston, TX) — Wade Miley pitched into the sixth and allowed three runs on ten hits and struck out eight in a 5-4 win over the Tigers in Houston. Yuli Gurriel   had a two-run double for Houston. Astros shortstop Carlos Correa left after one inning with back discomfort. Roberto Osuna closed it for his 28th save. The Astros have won two straight after ending a five-game skid.

Zeke Not Laughing At Jones’ Quip

(Undated) — Ezekiel Elliott is not a fan of Jerry Jones’ humor. After the Cowboys’ victory over the Rams on Saturday in Hawaii, team owner Jerry Jones was asked about the Pro Bowl running back who has yet to report while in a contract dispute. Jones replied, “Zeke who?” Elliott’s agent Rocky Arceneaux told ESPN on Monday, “I didn’t think it was funny and neither did Zeke. We actually thought it was disrespectful.” In Elliott’s absence, running back Tony Pollard rushed for 51 yards on the Cowboys’ first drive against the Rams, which ended with his 14-yard touchdown run. He’s due to make 3.85-million dollars in base salary in 2019 and is not eligible for free agency until 2021.

Cowboys Return To Frisco, Resume Practice Today
