Two Dead, One Suffering Life-Threatening Injuries After Wreck Near Hedley

Two people have died and another has life-threatening injuries after a wreck near Hedley.

Around 8:15 Monday evening, The Department of Public Safety says the wreck involved a vehicle and tractor semi-trailer.

Officials say a 30-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on US 287 in the construction zone when they veered off the road overcorrected and lost control striking a tractor semi-trailer.

Two females in the Nissan died at the scene and one was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor semi-trailer was not injured.
