Over 50% of library visits are from Gen Z and Millennials, and that’s from the American Library Association.
Amarillo Public Library is also reflecting that trend.
Program Coordinator of the Amarillo Library Stacy Clopton says after going through the numbers, more than 50%, of cardholders, and over 50% of library visits are from Gen Z and Millennials.
Participating in reading programs and using digital resources, younger generations are set to transform libraries into hubs for all ages to discover the joy of reading.
Clopton says Millennials and Gen Z are smart, and they recognize that the library offers a lot of resources. It doesn’t matter what your age is, reading is good for you, fun, and it makes you happier and gives you better health, and whatever age you are that’s always true,”
