Vehicle Rollover Claims Life

A single-vehicle crash has claimed a life in the 3300 block of North Eastern.
Amarillo Police say the incident occurred Sunday at 2:49 pm when a maroon SUV was traveling south on Eastern when the vehicle came over the railroad tracks in the 3300 block of North Eastern and lost control.
The SUV rolled several times ejecting 55-year-old Javier Maldonado who was not wearing a seatbelt.
Maldonado was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
