Warming Fire Causes $10,000 To Abandoned Home

The Amarillo Fire Department responded to an abandoned home Monday afternoon on a fire call.

Crews arrived at a home on 741 North Cleveland at 2 pm and discovered heavy smoke coming from the building.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control around 2:30 pm.

The Amarillo Fire Marshalls Office was called out and determined a warming fire was the cause.

Damages to the home was estimated at $10,000.
