“Wiggle It”

French Montana has always flirted the line of being a party artist and being a conscious artist. His latest track though definitely favors his party vibe as he enlists the help of The City Girls! The track is called “Wiggle It” which definitely references the current trend of high energy twerking music. The sample used is an iconic dance track from the early 90’s which was made popular by Pitbull in 2009.

That track is called “Push The Feeling On (Dub Of Doom Remix)” by the Nightcrawlers which is the quintessential 90s house track. It served as the gold standard for dubbing and vocal rearrangement, but more importantly, it brilliantly captures the ethos of the club scene from that period.

It awesome to see hits from previous generations get revisited and adapted to the current audience. French Montana, the City Girls, and his producers definitely knew what they were doing when creating this song, utilizing the sounds of club bangers in the past to make a current club banger for the summer of 2019.
