WTAMU Association of Latino Professionals for America Get Recognition

The Association of Latino Professionals for America at West Texas A&M has been selected as the 2021 Student Chapter of the Year for the Central Region.
The Chapter was recognized for putting on several virtual career development workshops, training and community speakers.
The chapter also conducted several community-service events such as a Meals on Wheels fundraiser, which raised $1,750 for the meal cost of seniors in the Amarillo area.
WT is entering its fifth year as a Hispanic Serving Institution, and says the enrollment rate is up nearly 30 percent in Hispanic students as of Fall 2020.
