WTAMU Honoring Legacy Wife With New Scholarship

West Texas A&M University is honoring the legacy of the wife of the Texas A and M University System Chancellor John Sharp through a new scholarship.

The scholarship, the Charlotte Han Sharp University Endowment was established  following her death on January 15th.

The school has set aside $25,000 to create an endowment in the WTAMU Foundation in her name.

The most recently overhauled Merit Scholarship Program increases the number of qualifying students and raised the amount given up to $8,000 per student per year.

Students are guaranteed that as long as they meet credit hour and GPA requirements , they’ll receive the merit scholarship for four years or until they complete a bachelor’s degree , whichever comes first.
