Xcel Energy Works to Restore Power to Amarillo

High winds left 4,500 Amarillo Xcel Energy customers without power.
The outage occurred on Tuesday morning due to the Whiteaker substation tripping offline.
Crews were able to restore most of the power across the city.
The City of Amarillo closed operations due to no electricity downtown.
