Gender Identity-Title IX Federal Court Filing

Gender Identity and Title IX are the center of attention in Amarillo Federal Court.

The rules concern Title Nine which prohibits discrimination in schools based on sex. They would add harassment based on gender identity as a reason to cut federal funding to a school.

Monday, Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Biden administration today in Amarillo federal court, and Governor Greg Abbott said the state won’t enforce the rules.

Paxton wants a temporary and then permanent injunction against enforcement. He is joined in the suit by America First Legal which says it opposes corrupt special interests.
