Two men are facing a murder charge in connection with a January homicide.

The crime took place on January 24 at 11 pm, when officers from the Amarillo Police Department were called to a home on North Highland where they found 23-year-old Everardo Guadalupe Leal with a gunshot wound.

He was then declared dead on the scene.

A short time later, APD was sent to North Apache Street for a second shooting where they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

Law Enforcement discovered the shootings and victims were related and believed they were sparked by a fight that happened at 10:00 p.m. that night at the Grand Street Walmart.

Monday, police say Homicide Detectives obtained a murder indictment for 22-year-old Isaac Arthur Botello and they also received an indictment for murder and aggravated perjury for 22-year-old Jorge Fabian Cabello.

Both men have been arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail.
